Helping Individuals

Sometimes one person in a relationship is ready for counseling but another (or others) are not. I work with individuals seeking to heal their own wounds and change their patterns of relating to others. Changing one person in any relationship will automatically change the dynamic between partners. There is much that can be done in individual counseling.

Some of my specialties are working with people who struggle with sexuality, sexual dysfunction, gender roles, gender identity, and variations in biological sex traits especially those from Christian backgrounds.

With a commitment to social justice and non-discrimination, I work with adults, couples, and groups 18 years and older.

Virtual and in person appointments (in Beverly, MA)

$150 for 60 minute session

$200 for 90 minute session (couple sessions are 90 minutes)

$250 for 2 hour session

My office is in an historic building that is not wheelchair accessible at this time; so I work virtually or in alternative locations with those in need of accessible spaces.

My goals as a counselor are to help my clients

  • live more at peace with themselves — able to confidently say: “I am worthy of love.” “I am enough.” “I deserve to experience joy and pleasure.”

  • become more confident in their abilities to create healthy relationships with intimate partners, friends, parents, children, chosen family, at work, etc.

  • (those who are people of faith) become unburdened by unhealthy versions of religion; living more at peace and flourishing in their own faith/religious practices/spiritually.

I know it is a sacred privilege to come alongside people sharing vulnerable stories. I also know from experience that listening with empathy to ourselves and others is transformative. I am honored to bring my empathy and experience to my counseling practice and I can’t wait to meet you!

It takes courage to ask for help… You’ll be glad you did.
